Shreveport, La is a diverse, small city nestled in the northwest corner of Louisiana. It holds a diverse population of around 200,000 people made up of different cultures, backgrounds, and incomes. Even so, Sunday morning worship services are rarely settings to see this beautiful diversity reflected in Christ’s church. Eternity Church knows that if the Gospel takes root in our city, it MUST show us a picture of “All The Nations”. We have a vision for a church of white and black individuals, families, and communities coming together to glorify God. The Biblical picture of “…” is something we don’t have to wait for. Eternity starts TODAY!
The Rose Family
Grant & Kara are responding to a call on their life to see God plant a Gospel proclaiming church in Shreveport. We both spent a part of our childhood in Shreveport before the Lord ultimately brought us together in Norman, OK in 2014. After getting married, we moved to Kansas City where Grant completed seminary studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Following seminary, they moved to Redeemer Church Denton, TX where Grant served as Family Pastor for four years and we welcomed Sophia & Makenna to the squad.
Church planting is a dream we have chased and prepared for during our ministry in the heartland region. After over 12 years of experience in church planting in various contexts, it is clear God is calling us to a work of replanting in the city we love.
Though we are not there yet, Shreveport is our home. It will be for years to come. It is a unique city that we believe God has primed for a new season of growth for His kingdom. We just want to be a part of it!
